Congratulations to JJAB member and SEJAY Chair, Pastor Edward Palmer, for being selected as a recipient of the Kentucky Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2017 Leadership Award! Pastor Palmer received his award during a ceremony on January 12, 2017 in Frankfort.
The event, hosted by the Martin Luther King, Jr. State Commissioner, recognizes individuals who embody Dr. King's life and work, and who have made an exemplary contribution toward his legacy of service.

2016 Social Work Practitioner of the Year
Congratulations to Jennifer Withrow, Kentucky's Juvenile Justice Specialist. Jennifer was selected as the 2016 Social Work Practitioner of the Year. Jennifer was presented with the award from the Spalding University School of Social Work during a reception on March 24, 2016.
The Practitioner of the Year award is an annual award given by the Spalding University School of Social Work - "The Community Celebration of Social Work honors the significant contributions of one practitioner in the field of social work in the Kentuckiana area. The Social Work Practitioner of the Year award winner is nominated by the community and selected by Spalding’s Spirit of Social Work Committee." Nominations include a narrative pertaining to the outstanding qualities of the nominee and specific examples of professional achievement or core values of social work.
